Tracy Jessiman has been involved in dog rescue for over twenty years. She writes a weekly column about pet issues and rescue and is often sought out by local media for comments on animal abuse or pet-related legislation. For many years Jessiman highlighted homeless pets on local radio. She loves to cycle, bake, create new jam recipes and paint one-of-a-kind pet portraits. She lovingly donates all proceeds from her pet portraits to rescues. Jessiman has owned many wonderful rescue dogs and has fostered, transported, and advocated on their behalf. She has been rescuing animals most of her life, but she believes animals have rescued her.
Jessiman lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with her husband, Earl and their cherished rescue dog Sheena.
